- Trendyol Gulf now has over 4 million customers in the six GCC states, and local Gulf sellers make almost two-thirds of its sales there.
- You can join with a Saudi or UAE company. You don't need a Turkish company or a Turkish Trendyol account.
- There's no setup or monthly fee. Commission is 16% on clothing and 14% (Saudi) or 15% (UAE) on home goods. New sellers usually get 20–30% off for their first two months.
- You ship orders yourself, with Trendyol's carriers or your own, and you're paid every two weeks on a Wednesday.
- Pick your sales country carefully. It must match your company's country, and you can't change it later.
Trendyol has quietly become one of the Gulf's busiest shopping apps. And it wants local sellers.
Saudi and UAE companies can now sign up directly. No Turkish company, no Turkish account. Today local sellers make almost two-thirds of Trendyol's Gulf sales.
It's also one of the cheaper places to sell fashion in the region, with a 16% commission on clothing.
You'll learn who can join, how to register, what it costs with a real example, and how shipping and payouts work.
What is Trendyol Gulf?
Trendyol is Turkey's largest online marketplace. Alibaba is its biggest shareholder, and Gulf investors ADQ (Abu Dhabi) and QIA (Qatar) also hold stakes.
It launched its Gulf app in August 2023, in Arabic and English. Three months later it was taking about 30,000 orders a day.
At first, almost everything shipped from Turkey. Then Trendyol opened warehouses and offices in Riyadh and Dubai, and started signing up Gulf sellers. That local push has cut delivery times from up to 9 days to about 4.
Like noon and Amazon, it's an open marketplace. You list your products, Trendyol brings the shoppers and takes payment, and you ship the order. For the bigger picture, start at our Trendyol Gulf hub.
Why sell on Trendyol in the Gulf?
Trendyol gives you a fashion-hungry audience across the whole GCC at a lower commission than most rivals. Here's what draws sellers in:
- Shoppers who come for fashion. People open Trendyol for clothing, modest wear, shoes, kids' wear and home textiles at good prices.
- One app, six countries. Shoppers in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman all use the same app.
- Saudi volume. Saudi Arabia brings about 75% of regional orders, so it's the market to plan for.
- Fair fees. Fashion commission is well below noon's, and you pay nothing until you sell.
- A welcome for newcomers. New sellers get a commission discount, and partners like Zid, Monshaat and Dubai Chambers help small businesses join.
- Room on the shelf. It's far less crowded than Amazon, so a new store gets noticed faster.
Sounds promising? First, check that your business qualifies.
Who can sell on Trendyol Gulf?
Any company registered in Saudi Arabia or the UAE can join the Gulf marketplace. Individuals and sole traders can't. Sellers from other countries have their own routes:
| You are | Can you join? | Route |
|---|---|---|
| A Saudi company | Yes | Gulf local marketplace, selling in SAR |
| A UAE company | Yes | Gulf local marketplace, selling in AED |
| A Turkish company | Yes | Micro Export or Export Center via Trendyol Turkey |
| A Chinese or Hong Kong company | Yes | Cross-border route with a Gulf VAT certificate |
| A Kuwaiti company | Starting | Kuwait onboarding has begun, so ask Trendyol's seller team |
| A company in Qatar, Bahrain or Oman | Not yet as a local seller | Open a Saudi or UAE company, or sell through a distributor |
| A US, European or other foreign company | Not directly | Open a Saudi or UAE company, or use a Gulf distributor already on Trendyol |
Each non-Gulf route is explained step by step in Trendyol for non-Turkish sellers.
How to start selling on Trendyol Gulf
Registration is quick if your documents are ready:
- 1
Get your documents together
You need a company commercial register extract (in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Commerce CR extract with its QR code), a tax ID and an IBAN in the company's name. Your licence should cover trading or e-commerce.
- 2
Fill in the Gulf seller form
Go to partner.trendyol.com, open the registration form for Saudi Arabia or the UAE, and enter your company details. Pick the country your company is registered in.
- 3
Upload and get verified
Upload your documents. Trendyol checks them within two business days and then opens your Seller Center.
- 4
Choose how you'll ship
Pick Trendyol Pays, where Trendyol's carriers deliver and invoice you, or Seller Pays, where you use your own contract with an integrated carrier.
- 5
List your products
Add products with prices in SAR or AED, clear photos and Arabic and English titles. A Zid store can push its catalogue to Trendyol for you.
- 6
Launch inside the discount window
Put your best products live first so they sell while the newcomer commission discount applies.
The sales country is the one choice you can't undo. It must match your company's country, and it can't be changed later.
No company yet? You'll need a CR (commercial registration, your Saudi business licence) or a UAE trade licence. Compare company formation providers, or look at UAE free zones for e-commerce for a fast licence.
Trendyol doesn't require VAT registration from local sellers, but it does need your tax ID. You'll still need to register for VAT once your sales pass the national threshold.
What does Trendyol charge sellers?
Trendyol charges a commission on each sale. There's no setup fee, no monthly fee, and no commission on returned orders.
The rate depends on your category and country:
UAE rates are close. Clothing and shoes cost the same. Home goods pay 15% there, and smartphones pay 5%.
Some brands get their own brand rate that replaces the category rate.
VAT is charged on top of the commission: 15% in Saudi Arabia and 5% in the UAE. You reclaim it in your VAT return.
New sellers also get a commission discount on their first listings. The standard 2026 offer was 30% off for two months.
UAE small businesses referred by Dubai Chambers get a bigger cut: 40% off for three months. Offers and rates change, so check Seller Center before you set prices.
Worked example: an abaya on Trendyol Saudi Arabia
Let's price a black everyday abaya that sells for SAR 230, including VAT. You ship it with Trendyol's carriers.
Your own delivery and packing cost for this order is SAR 20.
| Line | Standard rate | With 30% newcomer discount |
|---|---|---|
| Shelf price (incl. 15% VAT) | SAR 230.00 | SAR 230.00 |
| Commission (clothing, 16% / 11.2%) | − SAR 36.80 | − SAR 25.76 |
| Your delivery and packing cost | − SAR 20.00 | − SAR 20.00 |
| VAT you pass to ZATCA | − SAR 30.00 | − SAR 30.00 |
| What you keep before product cost and ads | SAR 143.20 | SAR 154.24 |
The discount puts SAR 11.04 back in your pocket on every abaya for two months.
Now compare noon. At its 27% fashion rate, the same abaya would pay SAR 62.10 in commission. That's SAR 25.30 more per sale than on Trendyol.
How do shipping and returns work?
You keep your stock and ship each order. Trendyol gives you two ways to do it:
- Trendyol Pays. Trendyol's carriers collect and deliver, and Trendyol invoices you for delivery. The rates are shown in your seller panel.
- Seller Pays. You use your own contract with one of 20+ carriers connected to Trendyol. This suits sellers who already get good courier rates.
Returns always go through Trendyol's carriers, whichever model you pick.
If you'd rather not pack orders yourself, a Saudi or UAE fulfilment partner can store your stock and ship for you. Browse last-mile delivery companies in Saudi Arabia to compare rates.

When does Trendyol pay you?
Trendyol pays every two weeks, on a Wednesday, into your company IBAN in SAR or AED. The payment term for each order starts when the order is delivered, not when it's placed.
So plan your cash flow for a gap of a few weeks between a sale and the money landing. That's normal for marketplaces. Once orders flow steadily, a payout lands every other Wednesday.
How to win your first 90 days on Trendyol
The first few months set the tone for your store. Sellers who do well tend to follow the same playbook:
- Start with your strongest 15–20 products. Focus beats a huge catalogue that nobody finds.
- Write proper Arabic titles. Most Gulf shoppers search in Arabic, so use the words they type. Our guide to Arabic product descriptions shows how.
- Ship fast. Quick dispatch and few cancellations keep your store rating high.
- Plan for the big seasons. Ramadan, Eid and White Friday drive the biggest fashion spikes. Get stock ready weeks ahead using our Ramadan selling guide.
- Watch the competition. Trendyol shoppers also browse SHEIN, Temu, Amazon and noon, so check prices there before you set yours.
Your Trendyol Gulf launch checklist
Tick these off before you go live:
Notes for fashion and modest-wear brands
Trendyol is built around fashion, and its Gulf shoppers know it:
- Modest wear sells. Abayas, hijab-friendly clothing and kids' wear are core categories.
- Ride the Ramadan collections. Trendyol runs Gulf-specific Ramadan and Eid collections, so launch modest-wear lines a few weeks before.
- Size charts cut returns. Fashion has the highest return rates, so invest in honest size charts and true-colour photos.
See how Trendyol stacks up against Amazon, noon and SHEIN in our roundup of the best marketplaces in the Middle East.
Notes for Turkish sellers
Turkish companies have two extra routes, both run from the Turkish Trendyol Seller Center:
- Micro Export. You opt in country by country and ship orders from Turkey under the ETGB e-export declaration (up to 600 kg and EUR 30,000 each). Each product needs an HS code and country of origin.
- Export Center. Trendyol buys your goods in Turkey and sells them from its Saudi and UAE warehouses. No commission is charged, and returns stay with Trendyol.
A Turkish brand with Gulf ambitions can also open a Saudi or UAE company and sell locally, which gives faster delivery.
Notes for Chinese sellers
Chinese and Hong Kong companies can sell through a cross-border route. You'll need a Gulf non-resident VAT certificate and a local representative, and payouts go through Payoneer.
Some categories are restricted on this route, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and electronics that need SASO certification. Check the non-resident VAT rules in Saudi Arabia before you apply.
Notes for foreign brands without a Gulf company
US, European and other foreign companies can't join Trendyol Gulf directly yet. You have three practical options:
- Open a UAE or Saudi company, then register as a local seller.
- Sell through a Gulf distributor that already has a Trendyol store.
- Partner with a Turkish company that sells your goods through Micro Export or the Export Center.
Many foreign brands start on Amazon or noon, which accept foreign sellers directly, then add Trendyol once they have a Gulf entity.
Get help launching on Trendyol
Setting up a company, writing Arabic listings and planning delivery is a lot to do alone. Many brands hand it to a specialist for the first few months. Compare marketplace agencies in the Gulf to find one that knows Trendyol.
Frequently asked questions
No. Trendyol now signs up Saudi and UAE companies directly on its Gulf seller form. A Turkish company is only needed for the Turkish export routes, Micro Export and the Export Center.
